Book 35
The new director of the CIA decides it's out with the old and begins a housecleaning rampage, slashing programs and spending as he deems fit. To his chagrin, he discovers that a deadman's switch has been tripped, unleashing a long-dormant network of government-sanctioned assassins on the capitols of Europe. It's a program that will culminate in the very public execution of the Soviet premier, unless the man from CURE can protect him, and keep the fragile, cold peace intact.
